10 Days Northeastern Uganda Self-drive Holiday

Planning to explore northeastern Uganda on a self-drive, we bring you this proposed safari to
consider on. The trip starts in Kampala, goes to Jinja, Sipi, Moroto, Kidepo, and Murchison and
finalize with Ziwa rhino sanctuary and returns to Kampala. This holiday is fitting for travelers

Detailed Itinerary
Every day of the trip starts with morning breakfast, have your lunch in time and dinner at you
lodge.
Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe airport and transfer to Jinja city
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport will be able to pick up your car rental and
embark on your drive to Jinja city eastern of Kampala. This is about 2hours of driving depending
on the traffic flow. Reaching Jinja will check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Midrange: Nile Village Hotel and Spa
Day 2: White water rafting and Transfer to Sipi
This morning will roll for a drive northwards along the Nile to the rafting point. The Nile rafting is
a world class rafting which continues up to grad 4 and 5 for advanced rafters. The rafting
through the rapid and rough white waters take about half a day, this is something rare and gives
you a piece of mind on your holiday. Then, lunch en-route will take an afternoon drive to
Kapichorwa at Sipi about 3hours of driving. Check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Midrange: Sipi River Lodge
Day 3: Explore Sipi waterfalls
Use this day to explore the three phrases of amazing and magical Sipi waterfalls, these
distanced waterfalls at the foothills of Mountain Elgon. The Sipi are amazing for hiking through
banana and coffee plantations. Will as well do abseiling from the top of the falls descending to
the basin of the falls, and photograph shooting. All will be done with lunch en-route, then will
return to your lodge and dinner.

Day 4: Transfer to Moroto
This day will take a drive northwards of oday will take drive to Moroto, you will reach by evening
hours. Then spend your night in the Manyatta camps of Karatunga. It’s a budget camp but for
community experiences will have joyful night. Will enjoy a night cultural with dances and stories.
Accommodation: Karatunga- Karamoja Safari camp
Day 5: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
This day will take a relaxed and scenic drive through the plains of Karamoja to Kidepo Valley
National Park. The park presents the largest scenery view among all national parks in Uganda
with variety of wildlife encounters. Consider having packed lunch along the amazing drive. Will
reach the park in the late afternoon hours, and just check-in at your lodge for dinner and
overnight.
Midrange: Kidepo Savannah Lodge
Day 6: Game drive and Community visits
This morning will embark on an early morning game drive through the Narus Valley. On the
game drive will be accompanied by an experienced park ranger to guide you through the dwells
of the park. On a drive expect to sight prides of lions, leopards, herds of elephants, buffalos,
several antelope species, several bird species, zebras, giraffes and many other wild species.
The drive will continue through the continuing scenic golden savannah alongside acacia woods.
The game drive will last for at least 3 to 4 hours when enjoying the glance on the amazing
dwells of the park.
Then, will return to your lodge for refreshment, enjoy your lunch and take an afternoon visit the
Karamoja community. Here will enjoy the Karamoja narrations, and their lifestyle stories. There
is dancing presentations of which you have to engage. Then will return to your lodge for dinner
and overnight.
Midrange: Kidepo Savannah Lodge
Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Today will take a relaxed morning drive transferring to Murchison Falls National Park via Kitgum
and Gulu. Will en-route to Padar visiting these amazing colorful Aruu waterfalls, the waterfalls
flow over white stones. Then will continue with lunch en-route to Murchison Falls National Park.
Reaching by evening hours then will check-in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Game Drive and Boat Cruise
The morning sunny game drive through the dotted savannahs of the northern section of
Murchison Falls National Park. On a good day you watch both leopards and lions around the
Pakuba tracks, elephants, buffalos and rhinos which were watched previously will mark it a Big-
Five game drive. Expect more other animals like towers of giraffes, Jackson hartebeest, Uganda
Kobs, Hippos, bushbuck, waterbucks, duikers and many more of the species, many bird species
can be encountered up to the animals centers the Delta point.

Then will refresh with lunch en-route and take an afternoon Boat cruise. The Victoria Nile boat
cruise leads to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. It’s arguably considered to be the world’s
most powerful waterfalls. Imagine how huge rapid do force into a gorge of 7m wider and pour at
45m down to form a thunderous roar. A drive is amazing with a lot of sights among which
include; cliff, varies of vegetation, several animals seen at the bank of the river among others
The boat cruise lasts for about three hours and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Rhino tracking and transfer to Kampala
This morning will drive to the top of the Murchison Falls to watch how the rapids force into a
narrow gorge to form a thunderous roar. Then, will embark on a drive back to Kampala via
Masindi, will en-route to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Here you will track the only rhinos in Uganda in
their natural environment. The track takes about 3 hours walking in the savannahs thickets,
along antelopes, bird species and among other species. Then will take a drive with lunch en-
route to Kampala and reaching by evening hours. Check-in at your lodge for dinner and
overnight.
Day 10: Kampala city tour, and Transfer to Entebbe
Kampala is the genesis of all adventures in Uganda, there are a lot to discover. Will have to
reach the Mengo palace for a cultural tales about Buganda Kingdom, Kasubi tombs, and
Gaddafi Mosque.
Then will drop off the car rental according to your conservation with your direct contact from our
team. It can be at your lodge, at Entebbe International Airport as you drive to catch your flight
back home.
